The Arts Council of Rockland seeks to foster appreciation and participation in the arts in the diverse communities that reside in Rockland County by providing programs of interest to the community and our members, professional development to artists and educators, marketing resources for artists and arts organizations, access to grant opportunities, and increased opportunities to network and collaborate.

Join us as Rockland County Poet Laureate, Juan Pablo Mobili, launches his first poetry reading of 2025, Echoes of the Heart: Life’s Joys & Sorrows. This special event takes place on February 20th at 6:30 PM at the Valley Cottage Library and will feature powerful readings by Juan Pablo Mobili, Brian Kates, Kelly Jo Lillian, Marjorie Tesser, and Rebecca Watkins. Don’t miss an evening of heartfelt poetry and shared reflections!


Experience the Arts Council of Rockland’s latest exhibition, Showcasing the Women of ACOR, on view at the New City Library until March 31st. This exhibit features the artwork of 26 talented women in celebration of National Women’s History Month.

Join us for a special Artists’ Reception on February 27th at 6:30 PM, where you’ll have the opportunity to meet the artists, hear their stories, and celebrate their work.

Art & Law Workshop: Understanding Appropriation, Copyright & Fair Use with Atreya Mathur

Are all visual artworks protected by copyright law? What rights do you, as an artist, have to control the use of your work? How can you draw inspiration from others without crossing the line into infringement? In this workshop, we’ll delve into these key questions and more.

The Arts Council of Rockland’s Hidden Treasure Gallery at the Rockland County Courthouse proudly presents a captivating exhibition featuring the works of Danielle McDonald, Eileen Brady Nelson, and Lauren Rudolph.


The Arts Council of Rockland Hidden Treasure Gallery @ The Palisades Center currently features the artwork of Ashley Gerst, Jesse Taylor, and Marianne Goldstein, running now through March 2025.

Draw inspiration from The Destiny of Peaches, a beautiful poem crafted by Rockland County's new Poet Laureate, Juan Pablo Mobili. Let’s celebrate the harmony of creative expression and bring the arts together in a powerful way!

The 2025 Artists’ Support Fund supports individual Rockland County artists in sustaining their creative practice and/or developing new works of art. It funds things like studio rental/workshop space, supplies, equipment/instrument purchase or rental, website development/fees, professional development workshops and so much more. The submission deadline is March 1, 2025.
