Marie Medjine Antoine
Marie Medjine Antoine is a 24 year old artist activist, who dedicates her time towards creating community change. A recent graduate from The City College of New York, she earned her Bachelor’s in Sociology and Black studies with a minor in women studies with an associates degree in Sociology from Rockland Community College, she is also a recipient of the Edward Scobie Award granted to a graduating senior, majoring in Black Studies that have shown academic achievement and excellence in Africana Social Science. Through the Beyond Identity Fellowship and Colin Powell Racial Justice fellowship she was able to learn the necessary steps in creating a sustainable community. Her curatorial/production works include Beyond The Wall, an artist showcase located in Spring Valley, focused on giving artists of color space for their creative expression and Across The Diaspora, a 4 week Black History month program focused on the Black history of Rockland County, NY creating space for Black uplift and healing.
