Lisa D’Amico

As an artist raised amidst the energy of New York, my creative journey has been deeply shaped by both my formal art education and the diversity of lived experiences. Holding a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Fine Arts, along with a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, I have cultivated a unique perspective that blends my artistic training with my educational background.

My work is a reflective exploration of the intricate relationships between nature, the human form, and the dynamic interplay of color. Each piece I create serves as a dialogue—a visual conversation that invites viewers to engage with beauty and complexity. Through my art, I strive to delve into these elements and create a sense of connection with my audience.

Over the past two decades, I have had the privilege of exhibiting my work extensively and receiving various accolades, including my most recent honor, the Weir Masterpiece Award from the National Park Service. These honors inspire me to continue pushing boundaries and exploring new dimensions in my art.

My life and career have been dedicated to the arts and education. I am a certified art teacher in New York and New Jersey, with twenty years of experience. I co-founded The Bluefield Artists and the annual Rockland Arts Festival. In addition to my artistic journey, I am also a curator for the Rockefeller Gallery and a published writer.
