For more than 40 years the Arts Council of Rockland has had the pleasure of awarding Community Arts, Individual Artist and Arts Education Grants to the Rockland Community. With the financial support that we have received from NYSCA’s Decentralization (DEC) grant program, these projects have uplifted and enriched the cultural life of Rockland. In the past few years, NYSCA has gradually been moving towards a regional, multi-county approach to DEC grant administration and has been consolidating its programs to facilitate greater opportunities for artists and educators.
To that end, NYSCA has decided that, effective Summer 2017, the Rockland Decentralization Grant opportunity will be managed by Arts Westchester. Please note that this consolidation will not in any way affect the amount of funding that is available to you as an artist, educator or cultural organization. We will be working closely with Arts Westchester to make sure that a smooth transition occurs so that Rockland County artists receive the most up to date information available.
Meanwhile, the Arts Council of Rockland will continue to provide professional development programs, workshops, networking opportunities like IDEA City, and many other programs of interest to our Rockland constituents. Best of luck with your applications.
